Expanding access to high-quality public school options

Our Work

Too many Mississippi students still lack access to a public school option. MCSA is working to change that, growing from one charter school in 2013 to 12 today and continuing to expand opportunity across the state.

Our Strategic Priorities

Priority 1: Strengthen & Improve Current Schools

Priority 2: Develop Leaders & Support Education Entrepreneurs

Priority 3: Create Conditions That Support Strong Schools

What Success Looks Like

Achievement: Students experience stronger academic outcomes through improved instruction, school quality, and access to high-performing schools.

Access: Families gain greater access to high-quality public school options as new schools open and existing schools expand in underserved communities.

Leadership: The charter sector becomes more unified, credible, and positioned for sustainable growth through effective advocacy, partnerships, and public engagement.
