Are you an entrepreneurial educator, principal, or administrator who wants to take the next step in starting a new charter school? Starting a charter school is a big step, but with the right preparation, team, and dedication, it’s an exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact in your community.
Currently, the Mississippi Charter School Authorizer Board (MCSAB) holds one application cycle per year. Interested parties must complete a letter of intent and be reviewed for eligibility. Once approved, they can then submit a full application. Although the law specifies the information that MCSAB must collect through the application, the MCSAB determines all application materials, the process and deadlines, and the selection criteria.
