About Dr. Theresa Horne

As Vice President of Community & Business Development at JP Morgan Chase, Dr. Horne delivers financial health education and builds relationships with community leaders, nonprofit partners, and small businesses. With over 18 years of experience in community engagement and equity awareness, she previously held C-suite roles at global organizations where she developed employee and community strategy, organizational culture plans, and outreach programming impacting national security missions — from leading culture change initiatives in Japan to driving organization-wide transformation at the Pentagon and Quantico.

Dr. Horne holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communications, a Master’s degree in Education Assessment and Measurement, and a Doctorate in Education Leadership and Learning. She is a Senior Certified Professional through the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM-SCP) and a Certified Professional in Training Management through Training Industry Incorporated (CPTM).

A bestselling novelist, award-winning industry columnist, and proud Army veteran, she has spoken at federal agencies, private organizations, and conferences on the intersection of culture, leadership, and strategic alignment. She has been recognized as one of Mississippi’s Most Influential African Americans for 2025–2026 by Our Mississippi Magazine, and named among the Top 25 Black Leaders of 2025 and Top 25 DEI Leaders of 2022 by Mogul, among numerous other honors. She currently serves on executive boards focused on disability, equity, education, housing, and sports.
