About Naomi DeVeaux

As a partner at The Drexel Fund, Naomi supports school choice for underserved communities. Prior to joining The Drexel Fund, she was a partner at the National Charter Schools Institute, where she co-created performance goals centered on school quality and worked with commission and board members on values-driven decision-making. She previously served DC students as a teacher, a school choice advocate, and at the DC Public Charter School Board, where she created the first School Quality Dashboard to make school performance actionable for parents. She began her career as an English teacher and literacy coach in traditional and charter high schools.

Naomi holds a BA from Reed College and an MA from CSU Long Beach, and is a recipient of both a Fulbright scholarship and an Aspen-Pahara fellowship. She is a member of the Center for Learner Equity, board chair of DC Bilingual Public Charter School, and a board member of the Diverse by Design Charter School Coalition.
