About Nic Lott
As Director of Communications and Constituent Services for the Mayor of Jackson, Nic Lott also works as a government affairs and media relations consultant. He previously served as a media communications aide in the United States Senate Majority Leader’s office and as debate liaison in the United States Congress. The former White House intern returned to Mississippi to serve in Governor Barbour’s administration as senior advisor for communications in public safety issues and as an administrator for the Office of Justice Programs, and later served in Governor Bryant’s administration as Director of Special Compliance Operations for the Mississippi Development Authority’s disaster recovery division.
A graduate of the University of Mississippi, Nic is a previous honoree in Top 40 Under 40 by the Mississippi Business Journal and recipient of the Business Chronicle’s “Top Business and Community Leaders.” He serves on numerous boards and commissions, including America’s Future Foundation and the International Ballet Competition board, and chairs both the UMMC Myrlie Evers-Williams Institute for the Elimination of Health Disparities Advisory board and the Mississippi Charter Schools Association board. He has appeared on CNN, Fox News, and Sirius XM as a political commentator.
